Chromium fused aluminum oxide for refractory

Alumina based refractory bricks always used for furnace lining in foundry. Chromium fused aluminum oxide is a good material for that refractory application. After starting to tap 50 kg of iron, the temperature of molten iron can reach above 1410 °C immediately, and can reach 1450~1550 °C in half an hour. But when the furnace is opened for 1 hour and 50 minutes, the temperature will drop again to about 1410 ℃. The next day, when the furnace was opened, it was found that all the refractory materials near the second exhaust air outlet had been eroded away, and the card waist furnace had become a straight furnace, thus losing its advantages. In order to maintain the advantages of the furnace with a waist, we must solve the refractory lining Material.

Proved by research. The use of chromium fused aluminum oxide with excellent performance as the furnace lining can solve this problem very well.

Chromium fused aluminum oxide is a product made by reducing Cr2O3 with pure aluminum. It is equivalent to a composite refractory made of pure fused aluminum oxide (or white fused aluminum oxide) after melting and adding more than 10% pure Cr2O3.

Due to the high content of Cr2O3 and the combination with the corundum matrix, it is called chromium corundum. Chromium fused aluminum oxide has to undergo high temperature smelting above 2000 ℃ in the production process, and its composition is relatively uniform, because it has good thermal stability and high temperature chemical stability.

Chromium fused aluminum oxide is one of the key factors to improve the life of the furnace lining due to its high density. The chrome corundum block cooled and solidified after melting has a small porosity, so the key parts of the furnace body are built with chrome fused aluminum oxide, and the gap between the bricks is filled with chrome corundum powder and a binder.
